There was a ton of excitement this week, as all of the kids are anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus. I heard all about visits to sit on Santa's lap and what is on each kiddos wish list! I also know what some of the Mom's are getting! Good thing I can keep a secret!


We did several craft activities this week including making a snow globe and a ornament of baby Jesus in the manger. Carson and Taryn both LOVE doing little craft projects! They are so proud of their work, and excited to take it home!


The kids were dying to play out back, but on Tues it was raining....and Thurs it was muddy! The kids kept trying to sneak out back both days! It was torturous for them to stay indoors! I have ordered nice weather for my next turn for preschool, with a promise of playing in the yard! :)

The kids learned about baby Jesus and the manger. The kids had nativity stickers that they arranged on the manger. Will kept working on his manger a good 10 minutes after all the others had lost interest and went off to play. I thought to myself, Will must REALLY love stickers, I am going to have to tell Amie. Right as I thought that Will said "This is taking too long, I don't want to finish." I thought that was so funny, he thought he HAD to finish!

We missed Payson this week! Hope you can make it to play next time!

Miss Jacy (again!)

I traded weeks with Cheri so I didn't get quite the break I deserve, but I am looking forward to my 9 week break before I have the kiddos again! Just kidding... I love those kids to bits! They are playing so much better together now than they did in the beginning of the year. They look out for each other and stick up for the one who is not being treated fairly. I love that! These are the most important lessons they will learn. They are really sweet to each other (most of the time).

Tuesday, we played and played, made gingerbread men, and played some more. Here are some pictures. Denise- I really don't have a clue why he was pouting. I couldn't get it out of him. It was just so cute though. I told him to "hold that face" while I grabbed the camera.

Thursday was "do whatever the heck you want to" day. They loved it! I was in an easy going mood that day so I just let them do whatever. Surprisingly, they were pretty mellow. They wanted to play outside most of the time and when I told them to pick what they wanted for snack... they all agreed on oranges. Go figure!

They were pretending that the swingset thingee was a pirate ship. They used Carson's binoculars to look out for other pirates or "bad guys". The boys brought their guns on the ship to protect Princess Taryn. It was a perfect day to be outside. I really enjoyed the kids today. They were all so good to each other.

Cookies!

I didn't have time to make the cookies yesterday like I wanted, so I woke up early this morning and made them. I think the kids had fun. They were all very impressed that I could make the frosting turn different colors. After cookie decorating/eating, I even got on the trampoline with kids. They thought it was hilarious!

K Is For Kool Aid Play Dough

I decided that instead of doing something that had to do with a kangaroo, I would have the kiddos help me make kool aid play dough. They all loved it! Everyone was able to add some ingredients and help stir. I swear, it probably kept them busy for a good 45 minutes. It was a good thing I borrowed some cookie cutters from my mother in law for our Thursday project...Sugar Cookies!

Of coarse we had to start off our day jumping on the trampoline!

Preschool With Miss Jacy

On tuesday we took a walk down to the grassy open area by my house. John just finished overseeding our backyard, so I thought it would be a good idea to go for a walk since we wouldn't be able to play out back. All the kids started off on some kind of bike or scooter, but that wasn't going so well. Most of them ended up leaving their mode of transportation on the sidewalk to pick up on our way back. While at the park, we ran, threw frisbee, and talked about things that started with the letter "H". Cody and Taryn made good friends with the neighborhood "stray" cat. Don't worry, we scrubbed them down good as soon as we got back.

The remainder of the time was spent in "free" play. I did have some requests for the farting dog book, so we read that together.

On Thursday, Miss Jacy was a little late for school. I had to go on a monster run and thought I had enough time before the kiddos would show up. I was wrong. Sorry Denise and Lindz.

Darn that John. He took the camera with him to work so I couldn't capture the blooming romance between Cody and Taryn. We will need to keep an eye on those 2.

We spent a lot of time playing with water colors. I just rolled out paper on the craft table and let them go crazy. I also had them paint on white pieces of paper that had the number 8 written in white crayon. As they painted, the number would show up. I think they enjoyed this activity. Stacey- I'm sorry about the paint all over Taryn's shirt.

The kids were great. I love watching them interact with each other. It's fun once you get to know their personalities and you can predict who will do what in different situations.

Preschool At Zach's House: Thursday

Today we had a great day at preschool. Everyone was here today! There was not a tear to be had when the Mom's dropped kids off! Everyone is adjusting to our little routine well!

We did a little art project. Cody and Payson were too busy playing to do the project! They took theirs home to work on! Payson said he didn't want to make his because "I don't like spiders!"

At any given moment Payson could be found with the little tools fixing the cars! I think we have a little mechanic here!

The kids were DYING to go out back and play. We were focusing on the number 6 today....but my mind was focused on 7. I was "counting heads" every minute! They were so good to stay together so I could see all of them at once!

Payson made a sweet basket there! He is quite a basketball player!

We ended the day with the parachute and Bubbles.




There were a few tears when the Mom's came to pick the kids up. I was glad the kids had so much fun!

These kids are all so darling! They say the cutest things! It is interesting how each child is unique and such an individual! I can't wait to see you back at my house in December! :)

Preschool at Zach's House: Tuesday

We had a great day at preschool today! We were small in numbers, but we had BIG fun! We missed Caden, Payson and Cody! We started out playing toys:


It was so darling how Will arranged all of the cars. He had them all in straight lines facing the same way! Will was so busy with the cars, he decided he didn't want to make a pumpkin face. He said he all ready has a pumpkin at home, "I don't need another one!"


We had a little Pumpkin Face Craft. Taryn had fun putting the pieces on her pumpkin. When she saw it all done, she said "pumpkins without faces are better" so she tore off all of the pieces.


Carson was so excited putting together his pumpkin. He put it right by the door when he was done, so he wouldn't forget to take it home!

Zachary put his pumpkin together, and then kept pulling the pieces off and reassembling until they wouldn't stick anymore!
We had snack. Our letter we talked about was F...we had Fish in two varieties...Golden and Gummy! We also studied our Fish in our tank. We had some writing pages to work on and color, but no one was too interested in that! There was too much fun to be had!

We played parachute and bounced a ball on top of the parachute! We also loved running underneath the parachute and letting fall down on our heads!
